Although this approach with on-the-job learning does develop machinists, this accelerated ATDM program provides a boost to the development and will help to bring machinists up to speed much faster. Currently the Inside Machine Shop does not have any formal CNC training as all CNC learning happens on the job. proved to be very beneficial to our machinists. CNC machining is a manufacturing process in which pre-programmed computer software dictates the movement of factory tools and machinery.
