It would be GREAT if BlackMagic would consider buying Kyno (LessPain Software) and integrate it into Resolve like Fusion and Fairlight.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction so I can get back to work. From what I can see, subclips are effectively what the cuts 'should' be. I don't understand why it isn't integrated there by default. Another is that I can't zoom in on the timeline to refine my in/out point selections.ДЇrankly, IMO, the Cut page is the ideal place for the subclipping function. One notable loss is that the audio is not shown on the Media page and it IS on the Edit page (at least on the timeline). While it works there, I find it to be less convenient/intuitive than using the Edit page. The only way I can create subclips is if I go to the Media page and then do the same from that tab. The first option is 'Mark In', which used to be the second option after 'Create Subclip'. However, after a couple months working on other things (and having upgraded to 16, 16.1, and 16.2 in the meantime), I just tried creating some subclips again and after selecting the in/out points and right clicking the play head area, I no longer get the 'Create Subclip' option at the top of the pull-down list like it used to be. When I first started using Resolve (v15.3-ish and only viewing on monitor 1, using Ctrl-F to see a full-screen for color correction/grading), from the Edit Page, I was able to create subclips by setting in/out points, right clicking on the source window play head area where the in/out markers are, and clicking on the top option, 'Create Subclip'. I have a dual monitor setup and have my workspace on monitor 1 and my 'monitor' window on monitor 2 (both are calibrated, but monitor 2 is calibrated at 120 nits and rec.709).

I am running Resolve Studio 16.2.2 (just upgraded) and was running 16.2.1 when I noticed that Resolve (at least in my installation) wouldn't allow me to create subclips any more.
